Malicious attorney Heather McCollough took council clerk’s criminal and sex abuse complaints, and the next day helped the accused councilor retaliate against her

CLEVELAND, OH – When East Cleveland’s Clerk of Council Stacey White filed a June 23, 2025 sexual harassment and a criminal complaint against Ward 2 Councilman Timothy Austin, she officially transmitted both documents to attorney Heather McCollough.  McCollough signed the documents as received. Since McCollough was usurping East Cleveland’s prosecutor’s office, the attorney should have opened an investigation into White’s allegations if she was pretending to hold the job lawfully.  What the malicious prosecuting attorney impersonator did was conspire with Austin to retaliate against White the next day. McCollough had received pictures of ex-employee Dorian Hudson’s penis she must have…

Mayor Lateek Shabazz files quo warranto claim to remove usurping ex-interim Mayor Sandra Morgan from city hall

For the second time since he was appointed to East Cleveland City Council in 2023, Mayor Lateek R. Shabazz is dealing with a usurper claiming a right to his office. For nearly a year Mark McClain claimed he was Brandon King's "legally recognized" councilman and received Shabazz's wages. Now Sandra Morgan is stealing his wages and claiming to be East Cleveland's mayor after he was sworn into the job from the council presidency by Councilor Dr. Patricia Blochowiak.

CLEVELAND, OH – It is not difficult to see how former interim East Cleveland Mayor Sandra Morgan misread Cuyahoga County Probate Court Judge Anthony Russo’s instructions on how long she could remain in office during convicted ex-Mayor Brandon Lee King’s suspension.  In a June 1, 2025 response to now Mayor Lateek Shabazz’s Facebook announcement that he’d been administered the oath of office to assume the job King was removed from on his way to prison, Morgan posted, “You are NOT the mayor!  The Supreme Court will decide who holds the seat until the election.” The “until the election” response from…

County landbank gifted Austin a free house valued at $17,500 while he campaigned to join East Cleveland city council

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cuyahoga County Land Reutilization Corporation (CCLRC) quit-claimed a free home addressed at 12600 Speedway Overlook to East Cleveland city council candidate Timothy Ray Austin on September 25, 2023.  The property exchange occurred 43 days before the general election in which Austin defeated incumbent Ward 2 Councilwoman Juanita Gowdy on November 7, 2023. Gowdy had dually served as council’s president and had been raising questions about the CCLRC’s legislative requests after one of its officials offered a council employee a bribe to place its legislation on the agenda.  Austin appeared to be the CCLRC-backed replacement candidate.  He…

State investigating East Cleveland Mayor Brandon King and Phyllis Mosley’s violation of civil service laws in hiring and promoting police

EAST CLEVELAND, OH – According to indicted Mayor Brandon King’s personal attorney, Willa Mae Hemmons, acting chief of police Kenneth Lundy was hired on June 5, 2016 by recalled ex-Mayor Gary Norton without civil service testing as a BPO.  While there is no such job classification as a BPO, East Cleveland city council codified a non-classified Beat Patrol Commissioned Officer (BPCO) position in July 1998 that gave mayors the authority to hire them for six months to work on special police assignments. They earn no more than a 3rd grade patrol officer and must officially be “reappointed” by the mayor…
