WASHINGTON, D.C. – If U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff were honest about his Russian ethnic ancestry his impeachment hearing opening statement would have included it as a motivation for his relentless pursuit of impeachment charges against President Donald Trump. Politicians with Soviet ancestry care about Soviet issues. FOX News host Jesse Watter summed up the average American’s thoughts about the Ukraine as the impeachment hearing’s first area of inquiry with these words.
“The other thing is, no one can find Ukraine on the map. If you ask the American people anything about Ukraine, they don’t know a thing about it.”

Currently there are 22 Russian Americans serving in the U.S. House of Representatives and another 11 in the U.S. Senate. 5.2 million Americans identify as Russian with an equal number identifying as “Jewish.”
The “wiki” biographies of the majority of Russian American elected officials in Congress describe them as being “raised in Jewish families.” None appear to openly identify as being of Russian or having Soviet origins. Fewer than 900,000 U.S. citizens out of a nation of 320 million identify as having Ukrainian origins.
The year 2020 could produce at least three Soviet candidates for president with U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders having origins to Poland and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg being a direct descendant of Russian aliens. South Bend, Indiana Pete Buttigieg’s “Armenian” ancestry makes him a Soviet.
Throughout the first day’s hearing I couldn’t avoid seeing the “Russian” or “Soviet” in Schiff as having ancestral and ethnic conflicts with his intelligence committee chairmanship and control of the process.
Schiff’s father, Edward Maurice Schiff, is the son of Frank Ephraim Schiff who was born in the United Kingdom in 1903. But Frank’s father, Yaakov Zalman Schiff, was born in Kaunaus County, Lithuania in 1878 and immigrated to the United Kingdom. Lithuania was once occupied by Russia and Nazi Germany.
Schiff’s mother, Sherill Ann Glovsky, is the daughter of Harry Glovsky and Marcella Glovsky-Schiff. Her father’s father, Meyer Yudel Glovsky, was born in Russia in 1872. Whether he acknowledges it or not, Schiff is a descendant of Russians who comes across as leading an impeachment hearing against a German American president who chose not to arm an area of the world that reflects his ancestral interests.

Despite widespread agreement among the American public that lyin’ Trump has committed impeachable offenses, beginning opening testimony on the Ukraine with two state department bureaucratic “lifers” for me as a Descendant of U.S. Slaves with documented roots here to at least 1834 was not compelling. The visuals of Ambassador William Taylor and George Kent created a “who gives a shit about these Soviets from a Communist nation reality?”
Even Taylor’s explanation for why the Ukraine was important to U.S. security made no sense.
“Ukraine is important to the security of the United States. It has been attacked by Russia, which continues its aggression against Ukraine. If we believe in the principle of sovereignty of nations on which our security and the security of our friends and allies depends, we must support Ukraine in its fight against its bullying neighbor.”
Despite the illogic of Taylor’s rationale for why Congress’ $270 million investment makes the Ukraine important, Russia has not violently attacked the U.S. like the Soviets Stalin sent to Palestine did twice with the Lavonne Affair in 1954 and the murder of U.S. sailors board the USS Libery in 1967. Schiff supports these Soviets … too.
Taylor as a “media built up” witness explained how he never waivered from carrying out Congress’ intent and what he perceived was Trump’s policy towards the Ukraine. It was ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and his two indicted Ukrainian Cleveland, Ohio downtown building owner partners who interfered. Trump’s biggest problem was in buying into Giuliani’s reason for seeking Ambassador Marie L. Yovanovitch’s resignation.
Taylor further testified to obstructing Trump’s plans to tie an investigation of “the Biden’s” to military aid by advising Ukrainian politicians that following his and Giuliani’s advice wasn’t a good idea before a New York United Nation’s appearance. The only thing the hearing proved was Trump intended to do something stupid and was prevented from executing his intended act of stupidity.
Like Schiff the ambassador Trump dumped, Yovanovitch, is Russian. Her parents were born in Russia and left there for Canada where she was born. The Russian alien from Canada’s biography doesn’t describe how her family immigrated here legally between Russia and Canada. What the impeachment hearings have done is reveal the surprising number of Russian aliens and Soviet “dreamers” who are employed in high level U.S. security and diplomatic jobs or serving in the U.S. Congress.
When the Ukraine voluntarily joined the Soviet Union on December 30, 1922, as a member of a bloc of Communist Eastern European nations formed under Josef Stalin’s Communist Parties of the Soviet National Republics, this nation’s leaders had already enacted two “anti-anarchist” immigration laws in 1903 and 1918 to clearly demonstrate how they wanted nothing to do with these immigrants and their violent and anti-black “labor unions.” During World War II the German side of Ukraine was Nazi and collaborated with Adolph Hitler to exterminate the Russian side of the Ukraine.

Stalin’s Russian Socialist Federative Sociative Republic through its international borders included Poland, Norway, Finland, Scandinavia, North Korea, Mongolia, the Republic of China, the Ukraine, Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kasakhstan.
Congress enacted the 1903 “Anarchist Exclusion Act” and targeted Soviets Lenin identified for deportation after Russian (Polish origins) Leon Frank Czologosz drove from Fleet and Tod Avenues in Cleveland, Ohio to Buffalo, New York to assassinate President William McKinley in 1901. WASP presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Howard Taft and McKinley at that point saw the growing “intentional” presence of Schiff’s ancestors here and Roman Catholics as a “Red” or “communist” threat to this nation’s democracy and took steps to diminish their presence.
Five years after the Anarchist Exlusion Act was enacted in 1903, Congress passed legislation in 1908 to create the FBI. By 1918 a Congress under President Woodrow Wilson decided to improve the 1903 Anti-Anarchist Act after the Russian and Catholic led anti-black labor riot in East Saint Louis, Illinois in 1917 resulted in the deaths of more than 300 black men, women and children. The Soviets and Catholics burned over 100 homes and businesses to destroy the progress Descendants of Slaves had made.

Two years later, Wilson sent U.S. Attorney General Alexander Mitcher Palmer and J. Edgar Hoover from the FBI to round them up in 1919. “The Palmer Raid” anarchist targets – about 3000 of them – were identified through the General Index Hoover created for the FBI without congressional authorization as a frontrunner to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). The “anarchists” were arrested. Nearly 600 were deported.
Like the Soviets in Israel the Soviets in East Saint Louis were described by American Federation of Labor founder and Russian Samuel Gompers as being angry that Descendants of U.S. Slaves wanted the same jobs they’d organized their racist unions to control. Soviet leader Benjamin Netanyahu in 2012, like Gompers in 1917, blamed “Israel’s anti-black riots in June that year on the African “infiltrators” who’d entered their white supremacist borders to build lives and earn a living.
Roosevelt was no longer president when he ripped into Gompers during a 1917 event they both attended in New York. Gompers was praising alleged humanitarian eforms in Russia for Russians. Roosevelt put his fist in the smaller Soviet’s face and denounced him for praising Russia instead of dealing with the infamies his people had perpetrated against black citizens who’d suffered long before his people arrived here “after” the U.S. Civil War.
Because of 3 percent caps Congress placed on immigration in the late 1800’s to keep the nation from being over run by aliens, the majority of the fewer than 900,000 U.S. citizens out of a nation of 320 million who have Ukrainian ancestry live in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Cleveland and Indianapolis. There’s no Russian or Soviet presence on Congress anywhere in the southern U.S. states but Florida. What I’ve found interesting is how Trump expressed WASP beliefs until his daughter, Ivanka, married Russian dreamer Jared Kushner. Trump’s father, Fred, was alleged to have KKK connections.
I’ll reiterate the the most lingering perception the impeachment hearing left me with was how “infiltrated” our federal government is with “aliens” and “dreamers” whose agendas don’t reflect my American perspective. The hearings reminded me of the concerns Florida U.S. Rep. Syd Herlong had about Communists infiltrating our government in 1963 when he read former FBI agent Willard Cleon Skousen’s “The 45 Goals of Communism” into the Congressional Record.
I was also reminded that only U.S. Senator Charles Grassley has been hard core about the U.S. Department of Justice’s near non-existent enforcement of the Foreign Agents Registration Act Congress passed in 1938 to prevent foreign propagandists from infiltrating and infusing their foreign nation’s interests into our government.
I don’t give a shit about the Ukraine. Neither does the average U.S. citizen. The 11 Soviets in the U.S. Senate don’t have the juice to muscle an impeachment past their colleagues on “this” issue if even a “never Trumper” like me sees the first day’s hearing as pro-Soviet and un-American.
