CLEVELAND, OH – In Englewood, New Jersey the 18-year-old Chinese American female in the feature picture, Emily Gil, organized a Black Lives Matter (BLM) rally and got a $2500 bill from Mayor Mario Krajnac for police overtime. Her parents are from Communist China. She wasn’t thinking.
From my perspective as a former mayor it means the $2500 was split between the cops on duty as extra “unbudgeted” pay he was forced by state laws to negotiate into a labor agreement. This is but one of the problems I have with the BLM and antifa protestors who’ve been infiltrating peaceful American Negro protests with “their” agenda. They don’t know the government they’re trying to change. Below is the BLM agenda from its website.
BLM’s #WhatMatters2020 will focus on issues concerning racial injustice, police brutality, criminal justice reform, Black immigration, economic injustice, LGBTQIA+ and human rights, environmental injustice, access to healthcare, access to quality education, and voting rights and suppression.
The keywords for me to know BLM founded by Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, Opal Tometi is not an organization for American Negroes are “racial injustice,” “Black immigration” and “economic injustice” as they have nothing to do with the American Negro’s 400 plus year presence in the U.S. We’ve already experienced slavery, segregation, voting rights deprivation, restricted access to elected offices, riots that slaughtered our people in cities as our businesses were built; and taxation without political representation.
Today, American Negroes have led Fortune 500 companies like Beatrice Foods, Walmart and Time Warner for years. We’re a long way from the bottom of this nation’s economic rung as we now have the luxury of complaining about injustice coming from politicial institutions our people lead.
I watched an interview I shared above with BLM co-founder Patrice Cullors as she shared the organization’s vision. I needed an interpreter to understand all the non-specific rhetoric she spewed about nothing. Don’t take my words for it. Watch the interview above for yourself.
American Negroes as a rule are also not pro-Black immigration as the BLM agenda implies. We prefer our borders “closed.” We, historically, know riots benefit the bureaucrats who oppress us and have developed more effective ways of dealing. Angry protests and rioting is for the politically unsophisticated.
So it’s angering to American Negroes who understand the 400 years of laws built on segregation in the United States of America that a “Black” agenda that has nothing to do with “our” issues is being infiltrated by immigrants and Dreamers with no specific agenda of their own. Much of their “Red Summer II” protest destruction has resulted in the decimation of businesses, neighborhoods and opportunities it’s taken American Negroes over 400 years to build.
The majority of BLM leaders and members appear also not to be American Negroes; nor are American Negroes the majority protestors. These “infiltrated” groups are protesting in many cities American Negro mayors like Cleveland’s Jackson are leading.
Consider that BLM and antifa protests in Cleveland were in a city that is 60 percent populated and led by American Negroes. 8 of 17 members of city council are American Negro. 8 of the city’s 13 municipal court judges are American Negroes. At one time, when American Negroes were undivided as Republicans and Democrats, the number was 10 out of 13.
Unlike the American Negroes leading Democratic-run cities in Cleveland the anarchist immigrants and “Dreamers” heavily-involved in the “antifa” and BLM movements are tearing up, they don’t have 400 years of cultural knowledge of the nation to know how to work “within” it constructively to make the changes in the laws that have come from thousands of U.S. Supreme Court rulings they haven’t studied.
This nation’s cultural knowledge hasn’t “yet” been passed on and down to them after one generation of citizenship or less. It’s why the $2500 bill Gill got should be seen by the wise among the BLM “leaders” as a lesson learned for them to do some reading before running their mouths.
Consider that in Portland, Oregon violent and anarchist BLM and Antifa idiots have made cops of all colors rich. A recent report from FOX News shows $5.2 million in overtime being split up in each participating cop’s paycheck.
American Negroes with long roots to the nation know this political nuance since thousands of us have led some of the nation’s 19,429 cities, villages and townships as mayors and members of council. Immigrants and Dreamers who have not had those opportunities don’t have the knowledge acquired from those experiences; and most won’t.
Cops love these protests for now. Especially the violent ones. Overtime in “pro labor union” states adds to the highest three years of a cop’s pension as they work towards $100,000 a year taxpayer supported retirement incomes. I write “for now” because the loss of businesses and jobs associated with the rioting and coronavirus (common cold) closings across the nation will most assuredly result in massive government worker layoffs. Cops raking in overtime cash now won’t be around in 2021’s municipal budgets.
Consider that protestors have obtained video footage of undercover police officers in different municipal jurisdictions “promoting” violence. Piles of bricks have been reported at protest sites to provoke property destruction even in downtown Cleveland. Bricks and chunks of concrete were placed all over downtown.
Protestors in Minneapolis took a picture of a rubber-gloved man wearing a gas mask all thought was an undercover cop. He was leading the tossing of bricks. In Columbus protests were peaceful until police casually walked up to citizens sitting on a sidewalk and pepper-sprayed them.
It’s not obscene to consider from a “profit motivated” perspective that the mace, tear gas and rubber bullets aren’t used intentionally by greed-driven cops to encourage protest violence for overtime. Notice these “burning and looting” protests are not occurring in “right to work” southern U.S. States like Alabama and Mississippi. It’s illegal in those states for government officials to negotiate with labor unions.
The net effect of the BLM and antifa protests across the nation is that they’re making cops rich at the age of 52 in some states at the taxpayers’ expense. The Russian American Kenosha, Wisconsin patrol officer who shot Jacob Blake in the back 7 times, Rusten Sheskey, is off on paid leave at $70,000 a year. With 7 years as a Kenosha cop, and another 3 at the University of Wisconsin, his ten years of public employment makes Sheskey pension eligible. Even if he’s fired or jailed Sheskey gets the money.
Enacting laws that strip killer cops of taxpayer-funded pensions as a reimbursement for their misconduct would be a correct political agenda “demand” for thinking citizens of America who know how to protest within the structure of the U.S. Constitution and laws BLM and antifa “leaders” have not read.
Just the political nuances of the issues the protestors call themselves protesting are the reason responsible American Negroes are not following organizations whose leaders don’t see the pro-union Democratic candidates they back are the ones empowering police to engage in law enforcement tactics that build overtime-fueled pensions and shit all over justice.
Ohio’s former DROP (Deferred Option Retirement Program) put about $1 million to $1.5 million a piece in the pockets of Calvin Williams, Martin Flask and Mike McGrath before Mayor Frank Jackson rehired them “after they retired” to build up a “second” pension. With their wages and retirement earnings a $200,000 a year double-dipping lifestyle put another million in their pockets after 5 years.
East Cleveland police chief Scott Gardner, an American Anglo Saxon, hasn’t had Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy credentials in more than 10 years. The law requiring this two-time convicted felon to possess them didn’t stop him and an American Italian named Mike Cardilli from sending fake records to Richard Michael DeWine as the state’s incompetent attorney general. This corrupt move let them both keep stealing wages and pension fund contributions.
Notice that the majority of protests against police civil rights violations are in Democratic cities with powerful police unions whose power comes from laws enacted in state general assemblies BLM’s leaders haven’t read to know need changing; and whose “Progressive” pro-union candidates are backing. U.S. Senator Bernie (Gitman) Sanders is for the very police unions whose leaders obstruct criminal investigations of the violent cops BLM and antifa members “claim” to be protesting.
Consider that at no BLM protest is a petition drive for the enactment of laws that strip police of collective bargaining for wages and benefits. No protest has resulted in a voter registration and recall petition drive of a mayor or council; and a subsequent election of candidates whose focus in part is to strip police unions of the power to interfere with the criminal justice system by endorsing candidates for all offices that have oversight authority over their misconduct.
BLM leaders reference Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. but they don’t know the “substance” of the American Negro man’s work. They didn’t read the list of “specific legislative demands” he placed on Chicago city hall’s door and then delivered as a “notice” through the media. King’s team read Illinois state laws and the city’s ordinances. He led “thinkers” and intellectuals who ultimately ended up leading cities and in legislatures and the U.S. Congress.
Only two county prosecutors were defeated in the 2014 elections despite all the BLM protests nationwide over the deaths of Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Timothy Russell, Malissa Williams and others. Tim McGinty was one in Cuyahoga County that American Negroes targeted for defeat. American Negroes in Cook County, Illinois took out Anita Alvarez over Laquan McDonald. It didn’t matter that she was an American Mexican. Neither was defeated by BLM or antifa.
John P. O’Donnell was rejected once by American Negroes in Ohio for letting killer cop Michael Brelo go. Cleveland Councilman Kevin Conwell, an American Negro, is leading a second effort to encourage American Negroes not to support him again for a Supreme Court of Ohio seat.
BLM’s website includes Tamir Rice’s picture but there’s no information on it that shows Ohioans any “legislative” action its members have taken to reform the state’s criminal justice system other than organize more protests. I see no evidence of BLM or antifa encouraging members to defeat O’Donnell for failing to hold Brelo accountable. The same with Rick Bell Democrats are trying to shove down Cuyahoga County’s throat as a judge. He’s the prosecutor who mishandled the Brelo trial.
Englewood, New Jersey’s mayor had an opportunity to teach Gill a lesson in civic responsibility but he let media and social media pressure him not to perform the duties of the office as council intended when it enacted the “overtime” ordinance for “events.” Gill’s event may not have been violent and disruptive, but other events like hers across the nation have been totally violent and disruptive.
BLM and antifa wants to hold U.S. government officials everywhere accountable for performing the duties of offices, but only if the laws that hold them accountable they haven’t read and mastered are excused. Gill should pay the bill she created and if she doesn’t this young woman should be taken to court and ordered to pay by a judge.
Accountability is a two-way street and anybody can call themselves “Black” these days with Rachel Dolezal leading an Oregon NAACP chapter. The truth is that people calling themselves Black, African American, minorities and persons of color don’t speak for or in any way represent or reflect the thinking of American Negroes whose ancestors built this nation.
A child of Chinese immigrants like Gill, no matter how good her intentions, does not lead or speak for us. Neither does BLM.
